HA! There’s nothing here yet — but there definitely will be soon enough…
HA! and HA! again. I told you there would be something here ’soon’. So it’s been six months, or eight, or even a year. It’s not like you’ve been holding your breath all that time. Actually, I’m a bit reluctant to list the things I’ve been watching. I don’t know why I care — but I just don’t like the idea of giving that impression that I sit around watching television programmes and movies all the time. I just do it occasionally. You do believe me, don’t you?
Anyway, I’m just going to list the things I’ve watched and liked (or disliked) in any old random order and — if I keep going with this section — I’ll organise it all at a later date and add to sections as I go along. Keep in mind that I’m probably half asleep when I’m writing this (and the rest of this blog) as I’ve got the worse insomnia ever.
Imitation of Life: Loved this film. I know it had an underlying serious theme but, to be quite honest, I was more mesmerised by the clothes than anything else. And the fact that Lana Turner had so much slap on by the end of the movie that she looked like a drag queen.
Update: I was in the middle of writing about Imitation of Life, when I suddenly felt overcome with tiredness — I never ‘waste’ tiredness (as it’s something I rarely experience) so I ditched Lana et al and went to bed.
